"Tishrei 15" travels to Stamford, CT
"Tishrei 15" had an opportunity to spread its wings and was shown at a Jewish arts and
crafts exhibit at Temple Beth El in Stamford, CT in April 2008. Proudly presented by Sandy and Fred Golove, the piece
was enjoyed by a new community.

Klara's Dream at the Franklin Institute
"Klara's Dream" was on display at the
Franklin Institute Science Museum's "Identity: an exhibition of you" from December 2007 through January 2008. The Franklin
Institute invited local artists to submit a piece of their work to display at an accompanying exhibit called "The Art of I"
and they accepted my piece! Great fun!!! Especially when my son went to the exhibit with his cub scout group.
Old City Jewish Arts Center, Philadelphia: September 2007
I am honored to have been included in the "Tishrei"
exhibit at the Old City Jewish Art Center in Philadelphia. This exhibit, coinciding of course with the Jewish calendar
month of Tishrei, ran from September 7th through October 28th. I must thank Sherry, who works there, for
her support in inviting me to submit a piece for this exhibit. The opening for each exhibit coincided with a monthly
event ... "First Friday Shabbos" ... which attracts hundreds of people. This was a wonderful opportunity for me!
The piece that I made for this exhibit is called "Tishrei
15", which is the date of the first night of Sukkot. Trying to convey something that is particularly meaningful to me,
it depicts the night sky as seen through the roof of the sukkah - the traditional hut built to celebrate this harvest festival.
The piece is approximately 20"x30" and is made with various colored
glass, mirror, and a very cool token.

New Haven Symphony Art Vioin Project: April 2007
Being chosen to participate in the New Haven Symphony Orchestra's "Art Violin Project", along with 42 other wonderful artists,
has been a very exhilarating experience! The auction of all of these pieces was held on April 13th. The person who
is now the new owner of my piece is Susan Zawacki, who loved it enough that she bid twice for it ... against herself!!!
It is so wonderful to know that my work is in the hands of someone who loves it.
I created my piece, "Dualing Violins" on a wood base with assorted tesserae, including irridescent glass, mirror, vitreous
glass, stained glass, glass beads and crystal beads. Also included are real instrument parts. Because of the size
of the piece (50"h x 20"w), actual cello pegs, a tailpiece and bridge were used.
The name, "Dualing Violins", is a play on words representing the dual personality of the violin and the orchestral
repertoire. From Leroy Anderson to Gustav Mahler, the violin captures the magic!
